Add baking soda to lukewarm bath water for good results, or add it in a tub and sit in it for about 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can add oatmeal to lukewarm water and bathe in it. These measures will fight itching and bring relief to you. Cornstarch is another product which will help you fight itchiness. Just add some of it to your bath water or simply rub it on your skin gently.

Applying a mix of cinnamon powder and honey on the affected areas also relieves the skin of itching. You can also massage lemon juice on your body, let it air dry and then rinse it off. The lemon juice treatment can also be enhanced by mixing it with coconut oil. Coconut oil can also be applied on the itchy areas. Other ingredients that are also effective in combating itchiness are cod liver oil, Vitamin E oil, wheat germ oil and even aloe vera gel or juice for effective results.

These products can also be mixed and applied. If none of these things are handy and you have to act fast, you can even make do with hot water by running it over the affected area. Besides these remedies, you ought to take additional measures such as avoiding scratching the affected area with your nails or any other sharp object. Also, stay away from products that result in allergy and discomfort. Consult a doctor if your condition does not show signs of improvement.
