Dry scalp occurs when the scalp is stripped of its natural oils. Dryness of the scalp can result in itching and dandruff which further aggravates the problem. Sores and lesions may also occur on the scalp due to scratching. The skin, including the scalp, loses its natural moisture due to factors such as pollution and harsh weather. Pimples are inflammations that occur on the skin due to clogged hair follicles or pores. Excess oil production by the sebaceous glands causes the accumulation of oil in the pores, along with dead skin cells, bacteria and other debris. These form plugs that block the pores and blackheads and whiteheads are formed. Infection by bacteria results in pus formation, thereby leading to development of pimples. Pimples occur primarily due to excess production of oil. This can be attributed to hormonal changes in the body.
A diet rich in vitamins A, B complex and E is very beneficial for alleviating the problem of pimples. Also drink plenty of water every day so that the toxins in your system are expelled from the body through the urine.
