Add one half to a teaspoon of sesame oil. Warm the two ingredients on low heat till they are a little warm. Pour 3-4 drops of the oil (once it has cooled) into each ear. This will help in reducing the pain to a great extent. Take a tablespoon of linseed oil and add 2-3 sliced garlic cloves to it. Now heat the two in the same way as you did with the garlic and sesame oil. Once the oil has cooled, strain it into a jar.

This oil should be used with the help of a dropper and should be used no less than twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Mustard oil could also be used as a treatment for an ear ache. To one tablespoon of mustard oil add a teaspoon of finely diced radish. Warm the oil for 5-10 minutes and then strain it into a bottle. A few drops of this oil in each ear is known to bring quick relief. Ginger is also effective as it is known to be a natural painkiller. Put a few drops of juice that has been extracted from ginger into your ear twice a day. It will help in reducing the pain.

As a earache is often caused by an infection, it is recommended that you include a lot of vitamin C in your diet. This will help in boosting your immune system. Vitamin C is a natural antihistamine and antibiotic that will help in reducing an infection or inflammation. Vitamin C can be obtained from broccoli, tomatoes, strawberries, turnip, sweet potatoes and green peppers. You could also incorporate zinc into your diet as it will fight the ear infection too. Sources of zinc include pumpkin seeds, beans, peanuts, potatoes, whole grain cereals and whole wheat bread.
