Raisins are rich of vitamin C and vitamin E

Raisins are sun dried grapes. The health and nutrition benefits are high as
these are dried in sun light. The raisins have high antioxidant factors. These contain sugar and Potassium. The natural sugar of raisins is a great source of energy, with fiber and other nutrients.


It has high potassium and low sodium presence. It also contains reasonable level of Tartaric acid. The protective antioxidants in the form of
Phenol compound are powerful.




The diet rich raisins has high level of Selenium, vitamin  'C' and  vitamin 'E 'antioxidants.
The research during last twenty years has noticed its value for medicines. The raisins are natural satisfying snacks. The in take can prevent over eating and control weight also as it contains low fats.


Also maintains same energy level.

To make Raisins, most common grapes used are Thompson seedless, Zante and Muscat.
The sun dried grapes, which are kept to open to sun light for several weeks are dark. The golden raisins are treated with sulfur-dioxide like other fruits.


It has noticeable nutritional values, such as; proteins, carbohydrates, fibers, etc.          
      
The presence of high potassium and low sodium is a good heart healthy diet. The adequate in take of raisins maintains normal blood pressure. The presence of Tartaric acid and fiber helps for proper intestinal and elimination functions keeps the colon healthy. The powerful antioxidants in the form of Phenol compound and are protective against cancer also. It has good protection against breathing problem and bronchitis, as it has
anti inflammatory activity and increases the resistance power against  toxic weather.

For athletes the presence of pure form of carbohydrates is most efficient fuel for energy production. The energy gets stored in muscles and lever as glycogen. The glycogen works as feeding energy source for prolonged period. People who eat raisins, which has high level of Selenium vitamins 'C' and  'E' antioxidants have lower risk of macular degeneration. The risk of macular degeneration increases with low level of nutrients and raisins.

The raisins contain lot of sugar and are sticky. These two properties are considered harmful for teeth. For creation of cavities the raisins are not the only responsible. For these reasons brushing of teeth at regular interval is necessary. Therefore it is ideal to brush teeth after eating raisins to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Raisins are also important in maintaining bone health. Raisins can make a good low fat snack. So eat a few raisins each time you get a craving for food.
