Treat Gastritis With Effective Gastritis Meals

For people with gastritis, meals should comprise of easily digestible food products.



It is advisable to eat a balanced diet and drink lots of water. Some believe that eating three regular meals is a better idea than having smaller and frequent meals, in case of gastritis.

If you notice, there are some vegetables that increase flatulence.



Some of these vegetables include peas, onions, dried beans, broccoli, cabbage and fruits with peels. Some experts also believe that one should have less of citrus fruit juices and tomato juice as it can cause heartburn. A person with gastritis should avoid spicy foods and alcohol as these can irritate the stomach lining.



Food products like tea, coffee, chocolate and cocoa can increase the stomach acid and might lead to an upset stomach.

It is also advisable to drink a lot of water through the day to minimize acid secretion and retain body fluids. One must treat gastritis as early as possible. If left untreated, gastritis can cause other stomach problems.

Tips For Treating Gastritis

We suggest that you speak with a nutritionist and a dietician to work out a diet chart to treat gastritis. However, here are some tips to get you started.

Try to go on an all-fruit diet for five days. Eat three meals a day, each meal constituting of fresh fruits and fresh fruit juices. Speak with a health expert to find out which fruits are best suited for this diet as some might cause flatulence. We suggest you use a warm water enema some time during the day too to flush out the toxins.

After you complete the fresh fruit diet, work on eating a well-balanced diet. When you wake up in the morning, eat some black raisins that have been soaked overnight in a copper bowl full of water. Breakfast can comprise of a glass of milk with honey and fresh fruits.



Lunch can be steamed vegetables or lightly sautéed veggies with whole wheat bread or tortilla with a glass of buttermilk.

You might like to drink a glass of coconut water or carrot juice sometime in the evening. Dinner can be a hearty salad with fresh vegetables and a delicious dressing. If you have early dinner, then you can have a glass of milk before going to bed.

It is a good idea to chew your food properly and eat your meal without hurrying. Also, if you are feeling full or have eaten a heavy snack, then do not eat immediately after that.
