How To Drop Weight Down Your Hips
Submitted by Loring A. Windblad on February 5, 2010
Look Slim By Toning Your Hips
While weight loss has always been a concern, it may be desired for a variety of reasons. For example, some people may want to lose weight as a result of being obese and looking to increase the quality of their lives while others may want to shed those extra pounds purely for aesthetic purposes in order to look better. Moreover, the fact that the weight around the belly and hips is probably the hardest to burn make the entire exercise quite an accomplishment if it has been successful.
When deciding to lose weight, one must keep in mind that, although exercise goes a long way into burning the excess fat cells in the body, one must also control his or her
calorie intake
. While most people will assume that dieting means you starve your body, this is far detached from reality.
Proper dieting is, in fact, identifying the number of calories required by the body in order to carry out its daily chores and then limiting your calorie intake to that number. This will ensure that no excess calories are converted into fat cells within the body.
The fat around the hips and buttocks are, as mentioned previously, the hardest to burn.
However, a few physical activities that are concentrated on these areas of the body will help significantly shed the extra pounds. The hula hoop is one of the most widely used objects when it comes to toning the body.
The fact that they are so readily available and affordable means that you do not need to workout for hours together at a gym, or worry about the amount of time you will need to schedule for the workout.
The hula hoop can be used whenever you have the time to do so. Nor do you need too much time from your daily schedule as a 10 minute workout will help significantly.
The simple task of just spinning around is a very effective way of losing the weight around your hips because it stimulates the endocrine system into bringing a balance to the hormonal output.
Whenever your hormones are acting a little funny, it will be harder for you to lose the desired amount of weight. Performing squats is another very effective exercise that concentrates on the muscles around the hip and thigh area because of the fact that it creates a huge oxygen deficit – thereby forcing your body to burn off the body fat in order to create energy.
