Changes in the diet, activity and lifestyle, helps in keeping oneself healthy, both physically and mentally. Health and fitness are interrelated. Health and fitness tips commence with simple stretching exercises. Regular exercises help in losing the extra pounds. Healthy living through diet pills and drugs are difficult and time consuming. It is a costly affair. Natural methods of a balanced diet and exercise are a better option.



Eating the food from packets directly is not recommended. The television and telephone are a bane on this aspect, as every thing is available through the phone. Watching the television, while eating food is one of the worst contributors of obesity and related problems. Food is a medicine on its own.  Eating them in right quantities and in a right manner helps.

Abstinence from smoking and alcoholic beverages helps to a great extent in leading a healthy life. Alcohol intake in excess results in liver disorders and nicotine in cigarettes could result in a stroke, hypertension, oral cancer and so on. Reduce stress to lead a life devoid of diseases. Try stress busters, such as yoga, meditation, jogging, listening to music and so on.

Avoid processed and packaged foods. A healthy diet comprises of foods from all the food groups. Opt for fresh and wholesome foods. Say ‘no’ to Trans and saturated fats. Vegetable oils are preferred in minimal quantities. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, cereals and pulses contribute to complex carbohydrates to relieve complications such as obesity, diabetes, and hypercholesterolemia and so on. A clean mind is essential for healthy living. Cheerful outlook enhances the personality of individuals.
