Unfortunately, there are many people who do not get the time to prepare or eat breakfast, mainly because they are on the go from the time that they wake up. People often try to make up for it, by grabbing a muffin, a pastry or a bagel with cheese. While these foods may be filling, they are not very nutritious. Given below are some healthy breakfast options and tips that are quick, easy to prepare, tasty and nutritious:
  • Scrambled Tofu: Tofu is healthier than eggs and is easy to cook too. Use olive oil while cooking. You can add garlic, onions, peppers and some vegetables too, to make it healthier and tastier. This can be combined with some whole wheat toast.
  • Oatmeal, almonds and blueberries: While steel-cut oatmeal is a healthier choice, instant oatmeal will do too. Cook or microwave the oatmeal and add some frozen blueberries and sliced almonds to it. This preparation is packed with fiber, nutrients and protein.
  • Yogurt with fresh berries and granola: There are several brands and varieties of low-fat yogurt, easily available, to which you can add some fresh berries, fruit as well as healthy cereal.
  • Whole wheat sandwiches: This is probably the easiest breakfast recipes. The sandwiches can be stuffed with lean meats, cold cuts as well as low fat cheese. You could also make yourself a healthy sandwich, using cucumbers, tomatoes, beet roots, with a little butter or some bread-spread.
