Diet and Exercise for Stomach Reduction

Tummy reduction works in combination with other cardio exercises and diet control. Avoid feasting or fasting while opting for weight control. An occasional low fat dessert is accepted, though sweets are restricted. Exercises should be performed regularly. Inhale when opening up.

Exhale or breathe out when you curl up during exercise. Most abdominal exercises follow this as a thumb rule.

Warming up prior to any form of cardiovascular or aerobic exercise. Cool down and stretch at the end of a workout, to relax the muscles. This helps in decreasing the chance of muscle tear. Place your hands behind head and bend your knees, facing the roof. The feet an back are flat on the ground. Lift your torso slowly and go down. Lifting little above the ground is enough. Increase the crunches gradually.

Reverse crunch requires you to lie flat with palms on the sides. Lift your feet forming a 90 degree angle. Exhale and touch your chest with knees. Inhale and slowly push them behind to reach the 90 degree. 10 to 15 reverse crunches are recommended to start with. Perform these exercises in a slow manner. After reverse crunch, straighten one leg till the toe touches the floor, instead of knees.
