Cabbage soup diet is an excellent way to lose weight provided it is followed for only a short term period, which is usually 7 days. The diet mainly comprises of eating soups, fruits and vegetables. The diet emphasizes the consumption of more soup to lose weight rapidly.




The best part of the diet is that it is a low calorie diet but can have weird combinations of food. Will power and determination are a must to see the desired results. For the first few days you are only supposed to have fruits and soup. On the 4th day you are only supposed to have bananas and milk. It is also advisable that you take a dose of multivitamins during this period. You will need some essential vitamins during your weight loss program to maintain the nutrient balance in your body. With a proper meal schedule and servings you can work wonders with this diet.

You can also try the chicken soup diet as it is very beneficial for the body. It is particularly beneficial for those who are looking for a non-veg low calorie plan. This diet is very simple to follow. You have a single breakfast meal everyday and then for the rest of the day you have to only eat chicken soup. This soup comprises of mainly chunks of chicken along with carrots, celery and broccoli. The chicken soup is very useful as it provides the body with adequate protein, and the other vegetables help in detoxifying the digestive system and cutting down the fats in the body. Start your day with a glass of orange juice along with some cereals. Or you can also chop some fresh fruits and mix it with low fat yoghurt.
