Curing Gallbladder with Diet

Nausea and vomiting or throwing up frequently is a common symptom of a gallbladder attack which indicates that medical assistance is required. Simply because it can decrease your appetite and water intake and increase water losses leading to dehydration and other complications. As you have already mentioned that the stones are covered also on the top of the gallbladder it would be wise to talk to a specialist and discuss the treatment options. Till then to minimize the symptoms strictly follow a low-fat diet and try to lose weight in a healthy way if you are above your ideal body weight.

  • Have plenty of fresh fruits (no avocado) and vegetables, whole grains cereals and its products, pulses, sprouts in a day's diet as these foods are low in fat but provide other vital nutrients.
  • Avoid having large meals for dinner; eat simple and easily digestible food for dinner.
  • If you have milk and milk products make sure that they are double skimmed.
  • To enhance bile flow, add ginger and turmeric to the diet while preparing meals.
  • If you prefer a non-vegetarian meal choose low fat fish or chicken and lean meat with all fat removed (only a small serving not more). Completely avoid red meat, organ meats, egg yolk, animal fat, pork, sausages, processed and denatured food, pickles, oily, fried or greasy food, alcohol, coffee, sugar, carbonated beverages and sodas.
