Yogurt for an Upset Tummy?

Yogurt is rich in calcium, and has live culture of bacteria which are actually good for health.
Yogurt is being used for centuries in warm countries coolants for their bodies. Yogurt can be started for your infant after six months of age, after doing the regular check up that it is not allergic to the infant.
The lactobacillus in the yogurt are easy to digest, therefore does not put any additional pressure on digestive system of those who face lactose intolerance. Yogurt is a good substitute for milk.
There are also some studies made regarding yogurt and its good effects on health.
It has been found that yogurt increases autoimmune capacity and provides protection against a variety of rashes. Yogurt can also calm the digestive system if it is in an highly allergic state.
In case there is an acute case of upset tummy it is important that it is shown to the doctor urgently so that any further tests required are done. However, a mild upset can be taken care by eating a cool not very cold cup of yogurt, the bacteria will help you bring the level of acidity as well as any other reaction down to a minimal.
This does not mean that people facing mild tummy upset can go out and eat after a cup of yogurt. Care should be taken of your tummy for the next two days and eating yogurt every day would take care of the tummy upset.
You should be careful until all the symptoms of stomach upsets are done with.
There are different types of yogurt available in the market, you can try out the one you like, a plain or a flavored yogurt. In case of an upset tummy, the best one would be low-fat non-flavored yogurt which will be only fresh yogurt and nothing else. For babies with upset tummy you can try the full-fat creamy yogurt especially made for babies, these ar extremely tasty and your baby is sure to love it.
Avoid cold yogurts especially to be given to babies, remove the cup bring it to room temperature or lightly cool, should appeal to your baby. Cold yogurt might cause cold and cough to your baby, so try and avoid it.
Plain yogurt can be made extremely tasty by adding salt, you can also use a combination of spices and salads to be mixed with yogurt in your daily diet so that everyone eats yogurt and remains healthy.
