It is advisable to consume around three cloves of garlic every morning. If it is not possible to consume garlic, one folk remedy suggests placing about 2 cloves of garlic in your shoes. It is believed that the feet will compress the garlic and the garlic extracts will be absorbed through the bloodstream.

This is ancient method and believed to be quite effective. Another effective solution is to make use of carrots.

Carrots are known to be unpleasant to all parasites. Take a small cup of carrot that has been freshly grated and eat in the morning without any other accompaniments to ensure that the worms are cleared away rapidly. Another highly effective alternative amongst the several home remedies available is the use of coconut. It has been used since ancient times in the treatment of intestinal worms. At breakfast, consume a tablespoon of coconut that has been freshly ground and after three hours; follow it up with around 350 ml of tepid water mixed with about 50 ml of castor oil. Continue this remedy until the ailment is cured.

The milky juice of an unripe papaya contains a digestive enzyme called papain which is a strong element for obliterating roundworms. Honey should be blended with the fresh juice from an unripe papaya in equal measures with about four tablespoons for hot water and consumed as a single dose.

After about a couple of hours, this mixture must be followed up with a blend of 350 ml of milk that is lukewarm and 50 ml of castor oil. Repeat this process for a couple of days if necessary.

Do ensure that the dosage is reduced by half, for children aged 7 – 10 years. The seeds of a papaya can also be used in the treatment of roundworms as they contain large amount of a substance known as Caricin which is effective against them. The seeds must be consumed in a powdered form in doses of one teaspoon mixed with a cup of milk every morning. Another useful remedy is to consume a mixture prepared from the peeled and ground seeds of a ripe pumpkin, this will destroy parasites and aid in the removal of the tapeworm.
