Unfortunately, such yogurts are full of artificial sweeteners and may even contain plenty of sugar. Some so called low fat yogurts also contain high fructose corn syrup which is not healthy as well. Perhaps the best option would be the Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt contains 90 calories and about 7 grams of sugar. If you cannot find Greek yogurt, opt for a yogurt that contains no more than 1 gram of fat and less than 130 calories with each serving.  

Precautions While Consuming Yogurt:

Certain precautions should be kept in mind while consuming yogurt. Ensure that the yogurt is fresh and has not expired. Most yogurts have a shelf life of 2-3 weeks. Once the yogurt has been prepared, it is advisable to store it in a tightly closed container, in the refrigerator. Keep in mind that yogurt will usually have a sell-by date, but it is safe to consume it for up to a week after this date. You can freeze both homemade and purchased yogurt in an airtight container for up to 6 weeks. Frozen yogurt should be thawed in the refrigerator itself before eating. It is advisable however, to eat the yogurt within 2 weeks of purchasing it or within 2 weeks if you have made it at home too. The best quality yogurt is one that contains live bacteria.
