Vegetables are low in calories & rich in fibers. They also contain antioxidants or phytochemicals which improve our health. Everyday, we should a wide variety of colorful vegetables as every color has a different set of antioxidants which provide different health benefits.

Vegetables can be consumed in large amounts without the fear of weight gain. As they contain a lot of fibers, they give a feeling of fullness & prevent overeating. Eating plenty of vegetables will supply our body with essential nutrients as they contain various minerals & vitamins. Vegetables have low sodium content, so they check water retention. Raw vegetable salads are very good for natural weight loss. It is also advisable that you steam the vegetables rather than boiling them.
