Cabbage Diet advice 

The Cabbage soup diet is a seven day diet plan that helps in weight loss. It comprises of negligible calories and helps in burning the fat. Unlimited amount of cabbage soup and water are permitted. It is a low calorie soup made with cabbage, tomatoes, onion, and soup mix and is flavoured with bouillon. The first day comprises of fruits, apart from banana.


Unsweetened coffee, tea, water and cranberry juice are given. Unlimited amount of soup is recommended.

Vegetables comprise the second day. They are consumed in any form, namely, raw, cooked or fresh. Peas, sweet corn and dry beans are restricted. Fruits are not allowed and a baked potato is allowed with cabbage soup. Vegetables, fruits and soup are taken on day three, devoid of potato. Skimmed milk and eight bananas are allowed on the fourth day. Of course, the soup is allowed. About half a kilo of beef is taken with six fresh tomatoes, on the fifth day.

Baked or broiled chicken can be substituted for meat. Broiled fish is yet another option. Two to three steaks of beef with fresh vegetables are permitted on day six with the soup. Baked potato is not allowed. Unsweetened fruit juice, vegetables and brown rice are permitted on the last day. Alcohol, carbonated beverages and bread are not recommended. This diet promises a loss of 10 to 15 pounds.
