Low Carb Diet for Weight Lose

Maintaining a low carbohydrate diet has been clinically proven to lower diabetes, and has also helped to lower blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, and manage certain heart disorders. However for weight loss or to eliminate fat from the body, banning carbohydrates completely from the diet is not the solution. Carbohydrates do not lead to gain in weight unless they add to excess calorie intake. Fruits and vegetables are a integral component for weight loss and these also contain carbohydrates. Exercise without fail every single day. This is one of the most significant things necessary in addition to any diet you adopt. A low-carb diet should be adopted as a dietary program that will help to restrict the consumption of carbohydrate in order to steady weight control.

A sample low carb diet is as follows:

  • Breakfast at 8am - low fat yogurt with fresh fruit including strawberries, and banana, any fresh citrus fruit juice, and low fat cereal
  • Lunch at 12pm - Vegetable broth, vegetable salads without heavy dressing; vinaigrette dressing can be added.
  • Snack at 4pm - Milkshake made from skimmed milk and a cup of fruit blended with ice
  • Dinner at 8 pm - Grilled or roasted fish, steamed vegetables, half a cup of brown rice, mixed vegetable salad.
