Acne and pimples are a common problem among teenagers, which are caused due to hormonal imbalances and leading an unhealthy lifestyle. Another major reason for acne is not cleansing the skin on a regular basis.

Acne can scar you mentally and emotionally. Pimples are most visible on the face and can form blemishes and blotches. What’s important is to apply a good cosmetic and eat the right food.  This will help to cleanse your body especially the skin. There are many foods, which will improve your condition. Some of them are listed below.

The first food, which can help your condition, is water. Yes, it sounds pretty ordinary, yet its benefits are extraordinary. Water helps to purify your body. Remember pimples and acne are a result of impurities and hormonal imbalances. Water helps in both these functions. Firstly it gets rid of toxic waste from the body and also helps in regulating the secretion of hormones. The next food, which will help you a long way, would be fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. These contain vital vitamins like Vitamin A and C, which improve the condition of the skin drastically, Eat fruits like oranges and apricot or vegetables like carrots and spinach. In time you would notice a fresher and improved skin. Another vital component of a healthy skin is Zinc. You can increase the intake of zinc through dairy and lean meat products such as milk, cheese, lean chicken meat and fish. Eggs are also a great source for zinc. You can also try Vitamin E, which is great for your skin.

There are some foods which you will have to avoid completely for fresh looking skin. Firstly junk and fatty foods have to go be strictly avoided. These foods contain unhealthy oils and they often contribute to hormonal imbalances and thus worsen your condition. Secondly these foods lack the basic or necessary vitamins and nutrients, which are so essential for your skin. Therefore please avoid taking these foods at all cost.

Remember pimple and acne are skin problems which we all undergo at some point in our life, although it’s mostly in the teenage years. It's up to us, how to control and supply our body with the right food nutrients and lead a healthy lifestyle. Although the pimples or acne might recur but we can definitely curb and prevent our condition to go haywire, so eat right and look right.
