Advice on GM diet

can the GM diet soup be taken on day one of the diet??
(October 5, 2010)

The General Motors diet has gained popularity for its healthy, detoxifying process over time. The myth suggests that the American auto manufacturer General Motors (GM), designed the GM diet for its employees and their dependents. Some websites even cite an exclusive tag on its usage. However, its origins have remained a mystery, with General Motors never acknowledging the association.
The seven day General Motors diet soup program may help you lose 10 to 17 lbs a week. This is because the GM diet soup recipe is low in calories and helps to burn more calories than you consume.

This may however vary from person to person depending on factors such as body mass index, intake of calories and current lifestyle.

GM diet soup recipe

The GM diet soup recipe consists of simple ingredients like cabbage, celery, onions, green peppers, whole or canned tomatoes, and your favorite herbs and seasoning. You can substitute water for broth or stock to eliminate the additional sodium and calories.

The simplicity and availability of the vegetables in the GM cabbage soup diet is what makes it so popular. The diet recommends individuals to make and reserve a large batch of GM soup. You can consume as many bowls of GM diet soup a day as you want to prevent hunger pangs and bingeing. However, this is a supplement to the seven-day diet procedure.

GM diet: Seven days to weight loss

Day 1: The GM diet recommends that individuals consume all varieties of fruits, especially melon fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, cantaloupe and so on. The fruits will provide fiber and fluids as well as essential nutrients. However, banana is an exception to this all fruit menu.

Day 2: You can eat a baked potato for breakfast with a gentle pat of butter. This should take care of your body’s need for complex carbohydrates. Throughout the day, you can consume as many vegetables as you desire and they will provide you with calorie free meals. You many consume them cooked or raw. The quantity and variety of vegetables are unlimited, but try to choose vegetables high in fiber and nutrients.

Day 3: With the exception of banana and potato, your day three menu should constitute a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Include fruits for breakfast, snacks and dessert. Lunch and dinner can consist of your choice of vegetables.

Day 4: You can indulge on as many as eight bananas and three glasses of milk. Day four is also when you can consume the GM cabbage soup in unlimited portions. The GM diet soup recipe provides you both the nutrition of vegetables and an adequate fluid supply. Your body receives essential sodium from soup and potassium from milk and bananas.

Day 5: Day 5 allows you to consume meats such as beef along with tomatoes. The meat provides proteins and irons while the tomatoes provide fiber to aid digestion. Since the consumption of large quantities of tomatoes may cause uric acid in the body, you must also increase your consumption of water.

Day 6: Once again you can feast on meat and other vegetables. On day six, you will start to notice the weight loss. Many people also claim glowing skin and a general sense of well being.

Day 7: Day seven allows you to eat less starchy brown rice, vegetables and fruit juices to balance the fluids in your body.

If you are on the GM diet, you have to abstain from alcohol and aerated beverages, sodas and so on. Champagne, white wine, and beer may be consumed but in limited quantities.

There is considerable debate on the effectiveness of the GM soup diet as well as the GM diet soup recipe. Before you decide to adopt any particular diet, it is best to consult your doctor. Do not follow a diet if you are unwell, convalescing from an illness, pregnant, or suffering from a medical condition that may worsen due to a restricted diet.
