Toddler parties are fun to organize, but selecting and preparing food for toddlers is not an easy task.  The food for kids has to be extremely healthy, but at the same time, it should be delicious to entice the taste buds of toddlers.

You must keep in mind to prepare the foods that your toddler is familiar with. If the food looks unfamiliar, the toddler might refuse to eat. Also, the food should look colorful and appealing to entice the toddler to eat. You must also organize the seating arrangement so that you can monitor the toddlers while they eat.

Therefore, deciding on foods for toddler parties is a big task. Here are a few tips to choose and prepare healthy party snacks for toddler parties:

  • You can make a lot of finger foods for toddler parties. These foods can easily to be eaten by toddlers and at the same time are relished by them.

You can make finger foods like mashed bananas, sliced cucumbers, peeled oranges, sliced watermelons, strawberries, and carrots along with a delicious dip. These are tasty and healthy snacks for children.
  • You can also make cheese sticks, unsweetened cereals, and small pieces of chicken for toddler parties.
  • You can make sandwiches and use your toddler’s favorite fillings like peanut butter, jelly, and tuna. You can make these sandwiches in different shapes and in smaller sizes so that kids can hold them easily.

You should also remove the bread crust as toddlers generally do not like to eat the crust.
  • Cakes form an important constituent of birthday party foods. Choose a cake that resembles your toddler’s favorite cartoon character or it can be according to the theme of the party. Opt for flavors that are popular with the kids like chocolate, vanilla, pineapple, and strawberry.
  • For dessert you can serve cup cakes and cookies.

  • Other options for healthy party snacks include juices, ice cream cups, cut vegetables, and pretzels.

You must remember that kids and toddlers are fussy about food. Hence, you should attempt to make simple, yet delicious foods for the party. If the toddlers dislike the food, it can spoil the fun of the party.
