Lemon Aloe Vera juices for Spring Clean and Sun Burns

Spring cleaning the body is similar to the process of detoxification, which aids in the process of cleansing the body. Spring is the season which increases the risk of allergies and other diseases. Fruits are a better alternative for spring clean. Lemon juice is one of the most effective methods of spring clean. Certain foods that are not a part of spring clean program are fizzy drinks, white bread, chicken nuggets and dairy products, fish sticks.

Fruits prove beneficial, rather than fruit juices.

Excessive exposure to the harmful rays of the sun results in sun burn. It increases the puffiness, pigmentation, breaking or rupture of the skin and ultimately cancer. Skin rashes, dehydration, itching on the skin and vomiting are the symptoms of sunburn. Persistent itching and tingling sensation are common.

Aloe vera juice is beneficial for sun burn. Topical application of aloe vera gel is also an effective sunburn remedy. Break a leaf of the plant and apply the paste, which oozes out. Cucumber juice is also helpful against sunburn. It also decreases the inflammation and redness, associated with sunburn. Other sunburn treatments include the use of lavender oil, chamomile oil, sandalwood oil and so on. Equal proportion of milk and water is equally effective against sunburn. Keep yourself away from the sun, till complete recovery. Certain medications or pain killers also prove beneficial.

Adequate amount of water helps as one of the vital sunburn cure. Sunburn remedies also include the use of lemon juice. Lemon juice is an astringent. Dab some diluted lime juice on the affected area. It relieves pain and decreases the swelling. Other ways to treat sunburn are by the use of baking soda, bergamot oil, oatmeal, apple cider vinegar, whole milk, cucumber and so on. An aloe vera lotion or sunscreen with a sun block prevents sunburn to a great extent. Sunburn, in the form of blister is left open, as application of creams increase the risk of infection.

Sunburn remedies also include the topical application of ice on the sunburnt area. A warm shower helps in enhancing the circulation, thereby hastening the healing process. Oat meal in the bath provides relief from itching associated with sunburn. Mint tea, chamomile tea and other herbal decoctions prove effective as a sunburn remedy. The curative effect is attributed to the tannins present in tea. Grate a potato and apply as a poultice. The starch in potato is soothing, and a great help to treat sunburn.

Every spring give the body a chance to recover from the stresses of winter and to start afresh. Give yourself a vegetarian diet, low in refined starches and without added sugar then take each day, for two weeks, one third before each meal:
Nettle 8 fl oz (225ml); watercress 6 fl oz (175ml); dandelion 6 fl oz (175ml).

High quantities of vitamin A and of calcium are helpful but the best idea is to prevent burning. To do this, use the juice from the avocado as a sun screening agent. Above all, be prudent and just expose your body for about fifteen minutes on the first day. Then you can double the exposure time every day, especially if you avoid the high burning times around midday.
