Low Calorie DietThis kind of diet may be considered one of the simplest forms of dieting because it is nothing more than reducing the number of calories you take in.
This diet is most suitable for persons who are obese or overweight. A diet which makes you eat small amounts of the same calorie rich, highly processed, foods will just lead you to feeling really hungry and end up craving for more food. In addition, this will result in poor nutrition, and temporary weight loss.
Eating less portions of processed calorie will not satisfy you and your hungry tummy. As soon as you stop the diet you will regain the weight you have lost. When you repeat this process again and again for several times, it may affect your and self esteem greatly.
In contrast, if we eat more foods but contain fewer calories we become satisfied while eating a less amount of calories. We can actually loose weight while eating more. It assures you satisfaction while at the same time helping you loose your unwanted fats. It is also important that before you undergo this diet, you must consult a physician.
Counting CaloriesThe caloric value in whatever diet is the single, most important thing to consider in weight loss. This is why it is important to take into consideration the caloric value of the food before including them in your diet. The disadvantage with counting calories alone, on the other hand, is that while it does not delete any certain foods from your diet, it does not ensure that you are eating healthy. This is why, if ever, you would want to buy a food calculator, it is important that it provides you information on three macronutrients such as proteins, carbohydrates, and fat. It must also provide data on fiber to help ensure that you are taking in enough, and on sodium, as well, so that you do not get too much. Most of the calories in foods provide these three macronutrients.
Empty calories pertain to certain highly processed foods with a lot of sugar and other ingredients with a low nutritional value.
Because they have a really low nutritional value, and little if any fiber, they do not put your metabolism in a place where they are keel unlike healthy foods. To sum it all up, 500 calories gained from junk foods do not have the same effect as 500 calories that you get from healthy foods. If you followed your mom when she first told you to eat your vegetables, she was actually helping you loose weight while ensuring you good health and fitness.
