Protein Drink Diet

 

A protein drink diet helps to simplify meal planning for people who are involved in extreme physical activity (generally body building) or those who wish to lose large amounts of weight within a short period of time.



Protein- rich meal replacement drinks and protein powders can be consumed along with a variety of diets including low carbohydrate diets like the Anabolic Diet and the Atkins Diet. Many people swear by a sole Protein Drinks Diet which provides the body with easily digestible protein while minimizing carbohydrate intake.

High protein diet drinks provide a person with large amounts of protein which supply huge amounts of energy without the danger of gaining weight. In fact a high protein diet coupled with a high intensity workout is ideal for losing weight.



Following a high protein diet plan that has minimal carbohydrates also signals your body to purge excess body fluids. There are many protein powders and drinks that are available in the market today. It is better to buy a protein powder and make your own protein shake at home as commercial protein drinks contain many synthetic additives.



When making a high protein drink, you will need to add the protein powder of your choice to your shake. Add milk, whipping cream, 2 eggs, a few spoons of yogurt, bananas and nuts and blend until the mixture is completely smooth. You can also add a handful of strawberries for added flavor.

There are several protein powders and you can try a combination of them for the best results. Casein is one of the most common protein powders and is actually the milk protein obtained from cow’s milk. It helps to increase muscle strength and since it is a thickener, it helps to control sudden hunger pangs by making a person feel full and satisfied. Whey protein is generally used by people who are primarily on this diet to lose weight. It can also be used along with other diets. Soy beans are an excellent source of proteins and help with tissue repair and regeneration. You can also add a handful of assorted nuts while making your drink.



Nuts are high in protein and essential fatty acids. They are also rich in fiber and so aid the digestion process. Along with your protein drink diet, you will need to follow a daily low-carb diet with foods like cottage cheese, egg whites, milk etc. that are high in protein, and include lean meat, chicken breast and tuna in your meals.
