Grapefruit as a diet food is a great success. If one eats half a grapefruit with each meal it has been found that one can lose almost 3.5 pounds over a period of 12 weeks. Grapefruit is found to be high in Vitamin C which helps in reducing insulin levels and thus helps in weight loss. Another great addition to the metabolism diet is apple. Eating apples and also pears are considered to be great in helping one lose weight. Those who are largely fruit eaters tend to eat lesser calories overall.  Broccoli is another food that has definite links with weight loss and also calcium. Broccoli is also found to be high in Vitamin C and also a great booster of calcium absorption. Broccoli is a member of the cabbage family and is found to contain lots of Vitamin C along with calcium. It also contains fiber and folate in abundance. This food is found to be beneficial in fighting fats and is also found to contain powerful Phytochemicals which are useful in boosting one’s immunity and protecting them against any kind of disease that one may be susceptible too in the current world. Eating plenty of low fat yogurts is also a great way to help in increasing one’s weight loss.

Yogurt is said to be one the great super foods. Some of the metabolism boosting vitamins can also be obtained from consuming lean turkey or even oatmeal. Protein has been found to help one in losing fats and building one’s muscle. Oatmeal is a great source of fat soluble fiber and also is a great cholesterol fighter. This helps in providing one with all the energy that they need to get them comfortably through the day.
