High Blood pressure is a condition better known as hypertension and is also considered to be a silent killer.



Hypertension initially manifests itself as a pain in the back of the head and neck. This pain is felt in the morning, on awaking but disappears soon after. Dizziness, dull aches in the area near the heart, palpitations, general tiredness, excessive urinating and labored breathing are the other commonly observed symptoms of high blood pressure.

Eating raw cloves of garlic daily is beneficial in treating high blood pressure. Honey mixed with a tablespoon of freshly prepared Indian Gooseberry juice taken every morning is an effective remedy against high blood pressure. There is a good amount of bioflavonoids found in grapefruits that is believed to be effective in providing relief from high blood pressure by toning the arteries.

It is always recommended that individuals suffering from high blood pressure adhere to a perfectly balanced schedule of an ideal diet, exercise and relaxation. The foods that are the primary cause of increase in blood pressure are meat and eggs. It is possible to reduce blood pressure and lessen clotting of the blood by an increase in the intake of fruits, a reduction in the intake of proteins and by adhering to a diet that is vegetarian in content.





A diet that is completely natural including fresh vegetables and fruits, in place of a conventional diet, ensures that the digestive system is able to expel the toxins from the body. Consumption of salt should be limited to about 3 grams or roughly a half teaspoon. However, it is advisable to avoid the intake of salt entirely.
