Excess cholesterol forms gall bladder stone:

I have a stone in gallbladder and want to cure my problem with out any surgery do you have any herbal medicine to clean my gall stone?

Gallbladder, a part of biliary system functions mainly as a storage organ for bile and bile pigments which are essential for digestion of fat.

When you have a fatty meal the brain signals the gall bladder to squirt some bile in the small intestine for fat digestion. Bile contains water, bile salts, cholesterol, bilirubin and some proteins.

Gall stones are formed when this liquid in bile becomes too much or hardens. Cholesterol stones are the most common form of gall stones and are formed when excess cholesterol present in bile hardens.

When there is excess bilirubin in the bile then pigment stones are also formed. These stones, be it cholesterol stones or pigment stones can vary in size. They can be of few millimeters or few centimeters and depending on the type and size treatment option is decided by a specialist. Before taking any herbal medicines or supplements you should consult a professional.
Surgery may not be essential in all the cases as the majority of stones may produce no symptoms for years. Gall bladder stones are often known as silent stones and may require no treatment at all for some. But if your symptoms are severe then your specialist may suggest surgery as a treatment option depending on your condition and severity of symptoms.

However there are various other non-surgical options or procedures to control the symptoms. You can discuss these options in detail with your specialist to weigh the pros and cons of each and decide your treatment option. The following diet tips mentioned below can help to ease your symptoms to a greater extent -

  1. Lose your weight if you are above your ideal body weight. But remember that weight loss should be a gradual process and involve a balance of both diet and exercise. Avoid any kind of fat diet for quick weight loss as this may worsen your symptoms, on the other hand a gradual weight loss (approximately ½ kg per week) will help significantly to ease your symptoms.
  2. Have a low-fat diet, cut down not only the visible fat like oil, hydrogenated fat, butter, and margarine, but also foods that contain high amount of fat like fried foods, junk foods, bakery foods.
  3. Focus on a well balanced diet that includes loads of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole cereal grains and its products, beans and sprouts as besides being nutritious they are also low in fat.
  4. Avoid inactivity, exercise regularly and be active.
  5. Drink barley water regularly as a herbal remedy for gall bladder stone treatment.
