Autism Supplements And Autism Diet Treatment

What is Autism?

Autism is a development disorder of the brain, which impairs a child’s social interaction and communication abilities and causes the child to display repetitive behavior.

These signs usually appear before the infant is three years old. Autism is the most common of a group of development disorders known as autism spectrum disorders (ASD). It is estimated that 3–6 children out of every 1000, suffer from autism. Males are four times more likely to suffer from this impediment than females.

Autistic patients have a difficulty in communicating effectively. Their social interaction is very limited, and they have a narrow set of activities and interests. Kids with autism view the world with a different scope.

They do not live like most other kids do. They have a problem in expressing themselves and communicating with people around them. These children normally keep to themselves and communicate with special help only.

Autistic children react to their surroundings in an unusual way. They are bothered with normal worldly sounds and they cover their ears when there is noise. They may also feel uncomfortable when touched. Repetitive behavior is also seen in many children with autism.

They may repeat certain words over and over again, or just keep playing with the same toy for hours. They are usually not welcome to changes as it is very difficult for them to adjust to a particular habitat/environment.

Kids who suffer from autism do not make any connections with others. They do not react to gestures such as smiles. Their brain does not know how to interpret these feelings.

Autistic children can not express themselves easily. They do not understand the normal gestures and words and never learn how to respond to them.

Causes:

No one knows the exact causes of autism. Some believe that it can occur due to similar disorders that run in the family.  The human brain is a complex organ that constitutes billions of nerve cells. These nerve cells carry messages to and from the brain. The nerve cells that affect speech, feelings and sense do not develop properly causing autism.

Autism Diet Cure And Treatment For Autism

Unfortunately, there is no cure for autism so far. Doctors, special teachers and most importantly parents can help kids with autism to overcome a lot of difficulties. It is preferable to carry out the child’s treatment at an early age.

Autistic children are shown the meanings of different words by pointing at pictures or signs. This makes learning easier, and the children start communicating in time. The children are also taught basic living and social skills. They learn how to brush their teeth or knot their shoes. They also understand how to meet other people. Medicines can help in controlling the children’s mood and behavior.

Diet:

There are many stories about the success of diets in helping children with autism.

Gluten free diet and casein free diet are most popular in reducing the symptoms of autism. Gluten (wheat) and casein (dairy) are a component of everything that we normally consume.

Autistic children should be limited to a diet which is free from wheat and dairy. Gluten is found in oats, spelt, barley, wheat, rye, malt wash, grain vinegar and even natural flavorings. Casein is present in milk and all other milk products that come from mammals.

Generally, the dietary plan is well adhered if the entire household gets on diet. This formulates an eating routine, which is not easily broken. Besides, the rest of the house can also benefit from the ‘checked diet’. It is difficult for parents to start off with such a routine, but they eventually manage it very well. You can also implement the diet gradually so that is does not get very tough for you.

Children with autism are allowed a variety of meat, eggs, chicken, fruits and vegetables and everything else that does not contain gluten and casein.
