Boneless Chili Pork Roast Recipe

Pork Chop Recipe Ingredients:

1 pound boneless pork, top loin roast
A large pinch of cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon chili powder
½ tablespoon fresh thyme, snipped or ½ teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
½ tablespoon brown sugar
½ teaspoon fresh rosemary, snipped or 1/8 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
Fresh rosemary, for garnish

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degree Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine the spices that are chili powder, cayenne pepper, thyme, rosemary, and brown sugar in a small bowl. Mix well and sprinkle this mixture over the roast evenly. Preferably use your fingers to spread the spices mix over the roast to ensure even spreading.
  3. In a shallow roasting pan place roast on the rack. In the center of the roast place an oven going meat thermometer. Roast the pork for about 75 to 90 minutes or until the meat thermometer registers 155 degree Fahrenheit.
  4. Cover the meat with foil and let it stand for 10 to 15 minutes after removing the meat from the oven. After standing the temperature of the meat should read 160 degree Fahrenheit. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and serve immediately. This recipe makes 4 servings.

  • After sprinkling the spices evenly over the meat you may leave the meat aside to rest for 45 to 60 minutes. This will help to give a nice flavor to the roasted pork.
  • Pork is a very good source of thiamin, a B complex vitamin important for various vital metabolic functions in the body.
  • Preferable healthy accompaniments with chili-glazed pork roast can be steamed brown rice or unpolished rice with loads of steamed vegetables or a palate of raw fresh vegetable salad of your choice.
