Wrinkles are the one thing that is inherent as we age. Age brings with it the appearance of fine lines and creases on our skin. The skin over time tends to lose its moisture and elasticity, which ultimately leads to the formation of lines on the skin. When the elastin and collagen that is present in the skins connective tissue either decrease or quantity or weaken, it leads to the formation of wrinkles. The areas of the body that are the most affected are the face, hands and neck. While age obviously stands to be one of the most predominant causes of wrinkles, there are several others such as: pollution, increased exposure to the sun, stress, drug use, smoking, drinking, weight loss and so and so forth.

Wrinkles can be treated and their appearance reduced by following a few simple home remedies. Vitamin E is said to be the best treatment for wrinkles. The oil is very good for the skin and helps in nourishing it. A few drops of the oil can be applied on the wrinkles daily at bedtime. Castor oil (odor free) could also be applied to the affected area once a day. This is also known to work well on wrinkles. Take an egg and separate the white portion. Now beat the egg white and then apply a thin layer on the wrinkles and the area under your eyes. Leave it on for about 15-20 minutes, after which rinse it off thoroughly with some lukewarm water. Another oil that is very good for the skin is coconut oil. It helps in making the skin healthier and will also restore any lost moisture. Apply a few drops of the oil on the affected area 1-2 times a day.

Pineapple core is also considered to be an effective treatment for wrinkles. Simply rub a pineapple core on the wrinkles and let the application stay for about 15-20 minutes.

Then wash it off with warm water. This should be done twice a week for positive results. The juice of green apples and green pineapples also works well on wrinkles. A small amount of the juice has to be applied and left to dry for 10 minutes. A diet that is well balanced is crucial. It will provide the body with all the required nutrients and this in turn will translate to having healthy skin. 8-10 glasses of water a day is a must as it will keep the skin well hydrated from within.
