Vomiting also referred to as emesis is simply the act of ejecting or expelling the contents from one’s stomach. This happens when the muscles in the stomach contract resulting in the food being pushed out. There are several home remedies to effectively treat the symptoms of this uncomfortable condition. Ginger tea by far is the oldest and most popular methods of treating this condition. A cup of ginger tea that has a teaspoon of sugar added to it will help in easing the stomach and will reduce the feeling of queasiness. A chilled glass of lime juice can also be had to treat this condition. It will help in restoring strength to the body and will also get rid off dizziness and nausea. Take a glass of chilled water and squeeze 1-2 limes in it. Now add 2 teaspoons of sugar and a dash of salt. Stir the mixture well and drink it every 2 hours. If an excessive intake alcohol is the cause for this condition, then chewing on a slice of bread will help considerably as it will help in soaking up the liquid thus providing you with some relief.
A mixture of homey and cardamoms will also work very well on this condition. Powder and then add it to a teaspoon of honey. This mixture should be had several times a day. It will help reduce symptoms and provide relief. Take one teaspoon each of lime juice and mint juice and honey. To this add half a teaspoon of ginger juice. This mixture should be had two to three times a day to gain relief. To one cup of boiling water add 2-3 cinnamons. Now let the water simmer for a few minutes on a low fire. Once the solution cools strain it into a glass after which add a teaspoon of honey and stir well. This decoction should be had two to three times a day. To a glass of water add a tablespoon each of honey and apple cider vinegar. This should be had daily before bedtime. It is considered to be very useful.
