Avoid walking through grassy areas and keep your clothes and bed linen clean and bathe after coming from outdoors so that the pollen is removed from your body.
You can also apply a layer of petroleum jelly along the insides of the nose to prevent pollen particles from entering the airways through the nose. If you are prone to hay fever, increase your intake of ginger as it decreases histamine production. Teas such as peppermint tea will also help greatly in alleviating congestion arising from hay fever. You can also add chamomile to boiling water and inhale the steam coming out from it.
