It is not advisable to put ice directly on a burn since it causes the individual’s body to become too cold. This will lead to further aggravation of the condition.

It is known to alleviate discomfort and promote quick healing. Boil a teaspoon of chamomile powder in a cup of water. Strain and once it cools down, apply to the burn. This will help to ease itching and burning. A dab of honey may also be applied to the affected area for a soothing effect.
Yogurt is known to provide relief from itching and burning associated with minor burns. Cover the entire area with yogurt and leave it on the skin for about 15 minutes. Vitamin E oil is also known to be beneficial in promoting the healing of burns and also helps to prevent the formation of scars.
