Home Remedies for Treating Male Pattern Baldness

Alopecia is another word for baldness and hair loss. This condition can happen because of genetic predisposition and hormones. Hair loss has always been a problem for men as many men tend to start losing their hair either early in their life or as they hit middle age. A thinning hairline is the sign that a man is losing his hair. Thinning hair soon gives way to a bald spot, either on both sides of the forehead or on the crown of the head. Male baldness happens when a hair follicle shrinks over a period of time and finally does not produce a strand of hair.

Male pattern baldness is a very common kind of hair loss in men. It follows a pattern of a receding hairline as well as hair thinning on the crown. Male pattern baldness is caused by genetic predisposition and hormones. Hair loss is permanent. If you suffer from male baldness and have started losing hair, then we suggest that you speak to a doctor, who can help you with specific treatments. You can also opt for cosmetic treatments like hair transplants.  However, there are several home remedies for treating male pattern baldness that you can use to reduce hair fall. A warm hair oil massage is very helpful in treating hair loss and dandruff.  What you can do is get a head massage with warm olive oil before you get into bed. Then, wash it all off in the morning. Mustard oil can be added to your regular hair oil as this helps to increase blood circulation which would help to prevent unnecessary hair fall. Another home remedy for alopecia involves grinding peppercorn and lemon skins into a paste. This paste is supposed to be excellent for treating hair loss when it is used over a prolonged period of time. You can alternate between warm and cold water when washing your hair as this helps to increase blood circulation to your scalp. You can massage the roots of your hair with coconut milk. The massage will be good for the blood circulation while the coconut milk will help to provide your scalp with several different vitamins and fatty acids that can help to prevent hair fall. Even fresh aloe vera gel is supposed to be good for treating hair fall. Massage this gel at least three to four times a week for good results.

You can make a paste by mixing and grinding a pinch of saffron in milk, and then apply this paste to treat baldness. It is advisable to apply the paste and then go to bed, and wash it all off in the morning. Onion is also supposed to be good for treating male baldness.
