Treating Bad Breath Effectively

It is advised that you try and get into the small crevices around the teeth and clean your tongue at least twice a day. From the perspective of preventing the proliferation of bacteria on the tongue and mouth, it is advisable to eat food that is rough and gently scrapes the tongue while chewing. This is especially true of the first meal of the day. Drinking lots of water is also extremely helpful because it will flush any overgrown populations of bacteria out of your mouth and down your esophagus. It will also wash away any food particles that are still stuck in your mouth.

From a dietary perspective, foods that are rich in sulfur like garlic, onions and meat are actually good for your health. Since these foods also cause bad breath, it would be advisable to avoid them in the morning and afternoon. You can include them in your evening and night meals instead as this will ensure that you do not have bad breath during the day. Chewing gum and brushing twice a day is the best way to take care of the problem.
