Treating Damaged Hair With Hot Ginger Oil

Damaged hair is very difficult to manage giving your hair an unhealthy and lifeless appearance. Damaged hair is a condition that occurs over a period of time and the primary reason for this is because of excessive hair exposure to harsh chemicals or heat during straightening, rebonding and so on. Damaged hair is easy to spot as it is invariably dry and coarse with split ends.If it is not treated in time it may result in dandruff, hair loss and other such conditions.

The biggest mistake that most of us do when the hair is damaged is look out in the market for products that will repair the damage. However, most of these products contain excessive amount of chemicals that worsen the condition of your hair.

Oils For Repairing Damaged Hair

Avocado is a great remedy to repair damaged hair. Apply a thick mixture made with an overripe banana, a few avocados, and a teaspoon of olive oil. Wait for at least half an hour before you rinse it off with lukewarm water. Eggs are excellent for treating damaged hair as it acts as a natural conditioner. Mayonnaise and egg mixture can be applied to your hair where you take 2 egg yolks, beat them and mix it with ½ a cup of mayonnaise and apply to already shampooed hair.

Cover the head with a shower cap for around 15 minutes and then rinse off with cool water. There are several oils that are recommended for their superior conditioning properties. You can make your own hair oil by mixing equal amounts of olive oil and coconut oil. Add a few drops of castor oil and almond oil to the blend of oils and apply this to your hair and scalp. Wait for a few hours before you wash your hair as usual.

Ginger oil is known especially to enhance scalp health, reduce dandruff and bring life back to dull hair. A mixture of sesame oil and ginger oil is best known as a natural treatment for damaged hair follicles as it makes an excellent natural conditioner that protects the hair from further damage. You can mix 1 teaspoon grated ginger with ¼ cup sesame oil, massage it into the scalp leaving it for 10 minutes and then shampoo.

Sesame oil is said to be a natural sunscreen where as ginger root contains anti inflammatory properties that have been used for centuries to treat dandruff.  Ginger oil’s stimulating properties help improve the blood circulation in your scalp which induces fast growth of hair. You can mix 4 drops of ginger oil with 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil; apply it on your scalp and massage well, keeping it overnight and washing it off the next morning.
