Advice on Pre Diabetes Diet
The blood glucose levels of type 2 diabetics are high, just before the disorder is seen. This is referred to as pre-diabetes. Pre-diabetes is determined by the fasting plasma glucose test or the oral glucose tolerance test. The colours of the rainbow are important, when considering the diet pattern. Fish is included twice or thrice a week.
Skimmed milk and related products are included. Lots of fruits and vegetables are included. High calorie desserts such as pastries, soufflés and cakes are avoided. Dried beans and lentils are included. Healthy oils are used instead of saturated fats, such as butter, clarified butter and vanaspathi.
Portion sizes are taken consideration. Water is taken ion adequate amounts, namely 8 to 10 glasses. Chips, ice cream and other energy dense foods are avoided. Cuts of lean meat, such as sirloin and pork loin are preferred. Calorie free drinks are considered rather than sodas and other fruit punch. Added sugar is not healthy. Solid fats are trans fats, such as vanaspathi and butter are not allowed. Regular exercise enables weight reduction, especially ion obese individuals. Aerobic exercise followed by strength training is helpful. Take the help of a fitness expert for further guidance.
