Advice on Vegetarian Food

Vegans are those who fail to use animal products for any purpose, namely clothing and food. Vegans completely abstain from animals in foods and are those with great concern for animal rights. They are also referred to as pure vegetarians or strict vegetarians. Vegan diet proves beneficial in reducing the risk of an array of serious disorders, namely renal failure, colon cancer, stroke, high blood pressure, stroke, high cholesterol and heart attack. Decreased supply of minerals, such as calcium, vitamin B12, vitamin D and iodine is seen. Hence dietary supplements are recommended, due to mineral insufficiency.

Vegans are recommended five servings of whole grains, two of legumes, three of fruit and three servings of vegetables on a daily basis. Yellow orange and dark green kind of vegetables is preferred. Certain research reveals the risk of animal foods on stroke and cerebrovascular disease. This condition is extremely sensitive. Vegan diets are devoid of meat which is rich in saturated fats and cholesterol. Vegan diets are also a storehouse of potassium, magnesium, folate, fibre, carbohydrates and vitamins. Improper vegan diets are deficient in vitamin D, omega 3 fatty acids, cyanacobalamine, iodine and calcium, resulting in rickets, anaemia and so on
