Vegetarian Weight Loss
Can you inform me on an ideal weight loss program for vegetarians? I have been looking out for menu plans and diet tips for vegetarians and I would gladly welcome expert advice.

Weight Loss with Vegetarian Diet
A vegetarian diet is the best form of diet for people with coronary heart disease. In fact a diet rich in vegetables and fruits is perhaps one of the best ways to curb most heart and blood pressure ailments. A diet consisting of vegetarian fare is much lower in calories than foods that contain meat or flesh. However processed vegetarian foods can be fattening and hence if you wish to start on a vegetarian diet stay away from caned, tinned and processed vegetarian foods, as the content of salt and extra fats or saturated fats may cause much harm. Involve as much complex carbohydrates in your diet, such as whole grain meals, cereals, oats, and brown rice. Such foods will prevent you from bingeing on empty carbs and also sugary or fatty foods.
A vegetarian diet must consist of plenty of fruits and fresh vegetables. Vegetables must be consumed steamed, boiled, plain boiled or best stir-fried with herbs and seasonings. Any food that is deep fried or cooked excessively in fat loses its nutrient value and also piles on the punds.
Vegetarian diets need to be carefully balanced as such diets may lack in certain nutritional substances that are present in non vegetarian diets. Choosing to go vegetarian can be a healthy option provided that the meals include all aspects of the food pyramid, including protein derived from vegetable sources.
