Weight Loss with Exercise and Diet
The best type of pattern or rather formula for effective weight loss that can stick to you for the rest of your life is a combination of diet and exercise. With exercise, the calories burnt should be more than what is being consumed by the individual. This creates a calorie deficit which helps the body to lose weight faster and more effectively.
Each individual has a definite number of calories that is burnt each day so that the body functions effectively. This is known as the individual's basal metabolic rate. In order to get rid of a pound of fat the individual must create a calorie shortage of around 3200 to 3500 calories every day.
However eating fewer calories can result in hunger pangs and a feeling of being empty all the time and is also likely of causing even more weight gain. In order to beat the feelings of hunger, exercise comes to the rescue. By creating just a minimal shortage of calories in your diet you can lead the rest to exercise to burn up the rest of the calories. One of the most important benefits of combining exercise with diet is that exercise helps the individual to retain lean muscle mass.
