Cover half your plate with vegetables, so that you have lesser space for other foods. Opt of juices, rather than milkshakes. Opt for 8 ounce fruit juice and not more. Skimmed milk is a better idea! A food diary is easy and effective to maintain. The low calorie foods are eaten first. Non creamy, clear soups are drunk more. Sit erect while eating. Mustard is considered instead of mayonnaise. Carbonated beverages are abstained from.

Chew foods properly, as it reduces your intake. Taking lunch to workplace helps in cutting a few calories. Diluting juice with water is a good one. Avoid adding sugar to the same. Salads with lime juice, olive oil and vinegar as dressing are a good alternative for mayonnaise. Buy more of cut vegetables, if time is the issue. A lot of self confidence and will power is essential. Usage of different beans is a good option. A non stick cookware helps in cutting the extra oil. Fasting or splurging, both the extremes are disallowed. Poultry devoid of skin and lean meat that is trimmed are beneficial. Never fast before a party. This helps in curtailing your intake.
