Importance of Fruits

Is it true that fruits should be consumed on empty stomach? Why?

Fruits are a healthy and nutritious source of all the vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids and minerals that our body needs to build up proteins and thus, they should be made a part of your regular diet. There are a number of health benefits that these fruit have because of which they gain even more importance. It helps in treating a lot of conditions related to health and are a perfect diet for those who want to shed some weight. Where many of us would want to eat these anytime during the day or night there are a wide range of answers on when fruits should be eaten especially whether they should be eaten before or after a meal. Ask this to each person and everybody has different stories to tell.


So when exactly should you eat your favorite fruit plate? Most of us have fruits immediately after a meal serving us the purpose of a dessert. However, this has been argued by many and it is said that you should consume fruits at least an hour before a meal or the best option is, to eat them on an empty stomach. The reason why fruits should be eaten on an empty stomach is because it enables in getting the body to get rid of all the toxins and at the same time helps in providing tons of energy to lose weight and energy to do all the activities that you have to. Moreover, fruits are not digested in your system but instead all their nutrients are used by the body to perform the normal functions.
    
On the other hand, if you have consumed food and then eaten fruits, the nutrients present in the fruits are not able to go down to the intestines as it normally would if eaten on an empty stomach because the food already present restricts their flow. There are many people who counter argue to this point and say that fruits can be consumed during any part of the day as anything that you eat does get digested whether eaten on its own or in combination with another food. There are different theories that follow this and therefore, it is advised that you consult a specialist who will give you the right advice. Just make sure that when you are eating fruits, you have whole fruits or fresh fruit juices completely avoiding juices that are canned and those that are heated.
