A person trying to lose a kilogram of body weight will need to burn approximately 7000 calories.  If the need is to reduce a person’s fat then the requirement is to reduce the calorie intake first. You can start by losing at least 500 but at no point should the count drop below the stipulated maintenance level. For those who have to only lose a small amount of their weight even a 1000 calories can be to large a deficit. The recommended level of calorie intake for women per day is 1200 calories and the calorie intake for men per day is 1800 calories. These calorie levels are also considered to be on the lower side by some dieticians.


Another way of attempting to calculate the required and safe minimum level of calorie intake is by taking it in reference to a person’s body weight or the current level of body weight. A person trying to reduce their weight can start off by reducing about 15 percent to 20 percent lower than their daily maintenance level. People can change this parameter based on their ultimate weight loss goal.

For healthy weight loss diet plan it is vital to undertake a correct mix of diet control and healthy calorie intake. This should be followed up in conjunction with a healthy exercise regime. Exercise should be done for at least half an hour on a daily basis or at least thrice a week for half an hour intervals. A newcomer to exercise should start off on a slower basis and then gradually start to increase their workout time. Exercise can be in the form of walking, jogging, dancing, skipping etc. You can join a gym or a group to help keep up the motivation levels required to sustain the exercise routine. A sustained type of weight loss in not possible if there is nor regular exercise. It is also vital to start monitoring the fat intake the sugar consumption, and also the quantity of foods being consumed. It is necessary to follow a balanced diet of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins etc to get the right weight loss.
