Information on Eating Disorder Association
There are many Eating Disorders association which are working with the mission of non-discriminatory and non-profit way to help people suffering with these disorders. There are various workshop set up in these associations which includes health and education by the professionals, self help training, skill-based training, illustrative case studies which can be a motivation or inspiration, and role plays to educate the participants. These associations also have programs to support the family members of the person with eating disorders, experts in this field educates the family members how to behave with their love ones and how to help in their treatment. These associations provide service to people from different age groups, gender and cultures. These associations believe that all the eating disorders are complex, multi-faceted psychological illness which requires a holistic and a multi-dimensional approach to care and support all of those who suffer from any eating disorder. They also believe that people with eating disorders and their family members should be treated with care and compassion without affecting their dignity and self esteem. These associations are supported in a lot of way in terms of money by the sponsors, donations; many people also become voluntary volunteers to support the system and help the family.
