Diet for Weight Gain

A healthy weight gain to maintain an ideal body weight would help in many ways. Besides making you look well in shape it will also make you feel and look stronger. A healthy body will be able to fight against infection in a better way by boosting the immune system. Weight gain should be done in a prudent manner so as the weight which you gain is muscle mass and not fatty tissue. When it comes to weight gain most of the people think that they can eat anything and everything, but this is not true. If you indulge in all wrong eating habits then it would be difficult to get back to healthy foods after you gain weight and moreover these foods which are high in sugar and fat will cause fat deposition in the body instead of increasing the muscle mass. Yes it is important to eat calorie dense foods but food choice would make a difference. Select the food which along with calories and fats will also provide good amounts of other nutrients like different nuts, whole cereals, pulses, sprouts, dairy products, fish, egg, lean meat and poultry. Many people think that if they do exercise they will lose weight. Exercise is surely recommended for weight gain. With regular exercise muscle mass is increased and fat percentage is decreased. Muscles are heavier in weight than fats and thus will help in achieving a healthy body weight.
