Overweight Exercise

Exercise is a good way to decrease the body fat and overall body weight. Overweight people should look forward to make healthy lifestyle changes which includes following a low calorie low fat diet and regular physical activity or exercise. Balancing between the food intake and energy expenditure is very important when a person looks forward to lose some weight. However many overweight people are quite apprehensive to start any form of exercise due to low self esteem and self confidence. Some often feel that they are at a higher risk of getting injury or they cannot perform as well as the athletic counterparts and some feel ashamed to be teased because of their weight. It is always a good idea to start an exercise program gradually with some aerobic exercises after getting an approval nod from your health care specialist. Then start an exercise program at a very lower comfortable but consistent level, the exercise program should be continued daily and the duration and intensity should be increased gradually. Always start with a 10 minutes warm up to get a kick start for the muscles and fat then start with other exercises (can start with cardio or weight training or both but in the beginning start at a very lower level to avoid any muscle injury), gradually cool down after competing the all the exercises and relax.
