Bad Carbohydrates

Hello there - how will Bad Carbohydrates help? Is it advisable for me?

Advice on Bad Carbohydrates

Bad carbohydrates or to be more precise simple carbohydrates are found in refined sugar and other refined products like white bread, pasta, white refined wheat flour and its products, fruit juices and simple fruits. Bad carbohydrates lack many vital nutrients and fiber which are important for different body functions. Thus these are absorbed rapidly in the body causing blood glucose spikes. As a result more glucose is utilized in the body and you feel hungry sooner. Bad carbohydrates can be helpful to you if you have an episode of hypoglycemia, as they can increase the blood glucose levels immediately. They are also helpful for an athlete performing a long duration activity like a marathon run as they will provide instant energy to the athlete and avoid fatigue. If you have diabetes or are keen on losing weight it would be wise to stay away from bad carbohydrates. This is because they cause sudden spikes in the blood glucose levels and add extra calories to the diet without providing other vital nutrients to the body. However if you want to gain instant energy or gain weight then it can be definitely be advisable to have simple or bad carbohydrates in the recommended amounts.
