Information on Weight Gain
Your body mass index is 23.1. The normal levels are between 18.5 and 24.9. A weight gain of 30 pounds increases your body mass index to 27.1, which is not in the normal range. You shall be considered overweight, in such a case. Have you taken the advice of a nutritionist? According to your height (183 cm), your maximum weight can be 83 kg and not more.
Weight gain is achieved by increasing the calorie intake. Increase animal foods, such as eggs, fish, lean meat and poultry. Milk and milk related products are also helpful. Supplement powders available in the markets are helpful, after the guidance of a physician or nutritionist.
Muscle mass is enhanced by working out. It is not possible at the home level to gain muscle mass. Whey protein, weight lifting supplements, sports drinks and so on are available in the market at varied costs. But, this requires knowledge and help from experts. Pull up bar, resistance bands, exercise balls and jump ropes are effective in muscle gain. The tempo and duration of the exercises performed help in achieving your weight gain by 30 lbs. Lastly, I would request you to take the guidance of a nutritionist.
