Alternative Remedies for Gain Weight

Weight gain is easy to achieve, provided your genetic make up allows. An increase in calories helps in increasing the total intake. A healthy diet and exercise might help you. Increase foods such as dried fruits, muffins and yoghurt, as they are calorie dense. Weight gain in a balanced and healthy way is recommended.

Intake of fatty and junk foods also increase weight, though not the right way.

Trans fats and saturated fats in these foods are harmful and result in a variety of complications. Poly unsaturated and mono unsaturated fats are recommended. Butter, clarified butter and hydrogenated fats are completely restricted. Carbonated beverages provide empty calories. They contribute to no nutrients, other than calories. An increase by 500 to 1000 calories per day helps in gaining half a kilogram per week. Choosing the right foods are very important.

Eggs are preferred more than vegetables and fish and dairy products are considered, instead of bread and other cereals. Milkshakes, breakfast bars and cheese sticks prove beneficial in increasing the weight. Exercises, such as barbell rows, parallel dips, dumb bells and weight lifting help in putting on weight. Avoid opting for unnatural means of weight gain, such as pills and drugs is avoided.
