For an optimal weight loss, always stick to a combination of diet and exercise, coz they go hand in hand, stress on any one aspect will lead you no where, leaving you with a feeling of discouragement.

These are the beneficial tips that will help you to lose weight.

  • Breakfast is the most important meal in a day’s diet; it is also known as brain food. Have small frequent meals and avoid skipping any meal to provide consistent energy to the body preventing binges and hunger pangs. Eat slowly, chew every bite at least 32 times and take at least 20 minutes to finish your meal, this will give our body time to give the feeling of fullness.
  • Eat healthy, mostly unprocessed foods; include fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and limited amounts of animal protein. A vegetarian diet will also include fiber in your diet which makes you feel full soon and also moves fat through our digestive system faster so that less of it is absorbed.
  • Be careful about sugar in tea, coffee and other drinks.

Sugar in diet gives ‘empty calories’ and no other nutrient to the body. So it keep the visible sugar intake to the minimum level, and also invisible sugars present in ketchup, salad dressings, peanut butter, jams, marmalades, soups and breads. The product that claims to be fat-free is not necessarily sugar free or calorie-free
  • Eating salads is a healthy option, but don’t replace your meals only with salads and instead of adding heavy salad dressings like mayonnaise, or any other high fat dressing choose healthy alternatives like  ketchup and barbecue sauce, fat-free yogurt and mustard.
  • Fat is important for various metabolic processes in the body, so it’s not wise to eliminate fat altogether from the diet. So stick to the recommended levels and avoid any extra fat coming in the form of junk food, fried/oily food, cakes, pastries, and chocolates.
  • Exercise regularly along with the diet, not only lose weight faster but also to keep it at bay and have a overall feeling of wellness.
