Proven Weight Loss Tips

Weight loss is achieved by following a strict dietary pattern with regular physical activity. Lifestyle modification is also helpful in losing the extra pounds. A balanced diet with all the essential nutrients is effective. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and pulses provide the essential complex carbohydrates necessary. About eight to ten glasses of water is recommended to flush off the toxins, thereby helping in weight loss. Smoking and drinking are not allowed.

Carbonated beverages are abstained from, as they contribute to empty calories. They fail to provide any other essential nutrients. Fats are reduced in cooking by avoiding deep fat frying. Microwave, pressure cooking, steaming and boiling is the various cooking methods recommended. Cooking in non-stick cookware proves beneficial, as it calls for very little oil in cooking. Fruits are more preferred than fruit juices.

Whole fat milk and related products are not included in the diet. Skimmed milk and skimmed yoghurt are preferred. Refined products, like refined sugar, refined flour and so on are avoided. Whole grain products and whole cereals are helpful in providing the necessary dietary fibre required by the system. Timely eating is essential and fasting or skipping meals is not recommended.
